Nomar Garciaparra collected 2 extra-base hits and had 2 RBI at the ballpark as
the Dominican Republicans won in dramatic fashion coming back to beat the
Columbus Crowd by the count of 7 to 6.

In the 7th inning Dominican went on top for good scoring 2 runners on 3 hits.
The big moment was provided by Garciaparra who deflated the mood of the
partisan fans when he tripled bringing in two baserunners. Columbus was
out-hit by Dominican, 14 hits to 11.

The win was credited to Eric Milton(3-2) who went 6 and 2/3 innings allowing 3
runs. Steve Kline gained credit for his 3rd save. Jake Peavy(0-2) was the
losing pitcher.

'He gutted it out' Ralph Madara said of Milton. 'I was very impressed by his
tenacity.'
